Highlights from Apple’s September Announcement

September 22, 2015What's Newadmin

As always, Apple’s early-Fall announcement has captured the attention of the consumer electronics market. It’s exciting to learn about the new products that Apple will be rolling out this holiday season. Here are just a few of the things that you can be excited about as we enter into the colder months:

iPad Pro

ipad pro multitaskingThis isn’t just a rehash of an old iPad with a couple new features, but an entirely new platform! The iPad Pro is the largest iPad ever created (12.9-in screen) and has the best display we’ve seen in an iPad (5.6 million pixels!). The processor is also updated to the A9X chip, giving nearly double the performance of the previous generation. Apple will be rolling out the iPad Pro in 32GB and 128GB models this November. Combine this with the Apple Pen for only $99 and you’ll have a serious mobile machine, ready to tackle any task with ease.

Apple TV

With this latest announcement, Apple has shown us the future of home entertainment in the Apple TV. The creation of an App Store within the Apple TV’s software is a huge addition! This means 3rd party developers can create useful apps and fun games for you to download on this new generation of Apple TV. A new remote introducing swipe gestures and Siri will help you navigate through the tons of great apps you have to choose from.

Apple Watch

While Apple has not yet told us exactly how many Apple Watches have been sold since their introduction earlier this year, they did give an preview of the new features that Apple Watch owners can look forward to with WatchOS 2. New watch faces and complications are a couple of ways owners can further customize their devices. Time Travel allows users to preview their day ahead with the simple turn of a dial. Whether or not these new additions are going to be enough reason to buy an Apple Watch remains to be seen. We’ll have to wait and see the new WatchOS 2 in person before jumping to any conclusions.

iPhone 6s

The release of the new iPhone is potentially overshadowed by the unveiling of the iPad Pro and new Apple TV, but there are some exciting features to the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. 3D touch gives a new dimension to the touch-screen capabilities of the iPhone. Sensors measure how hard you touch the screen, allowing users to accomplish tasks with a single tap of the phone. Apple couples this with the A9 processor, improved iSight camera, and stronger aluminum construction, making the iPhone 6s the phone to buy this Fall. They come in silver, space gray, gold, and rose gold and are currently available for pre-order. The new iPhones hit retail stores on September 25th.iphone 6s colors

By no means is this an exhaustive list of all the exciting things that Apple has to offer this coming holiday season, but it gives you a taste of what you can expect in the coming months. So get excited, there are tons of great products coming our way!
